FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COMPATIBILITY OF OUR ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE TRAINING
Modern accounting technology has made it easy for entrepreneurs to access financial data, make informed decisions, and liaise with an accounting software professional in real-time.
However, when it comes to accounting software, clients have many questions about how an accounting software professional fits into a business when the owner is already working with an accountant.
Therefore, AKCS Software Pro Ltd. wants to arm you with the most accurate information to help you move forward. To do this, we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions about the compatibility of our accounting software training. But, first, let’s explore two common misconceptions about accountants. Read on to learn more.
1. A common myth that many business owners have is that their accountant is the only person they can go to for assistance.
The accountant plays a massive role in your business. However, they might have time constraints, and the more involved they have to get with your day-to-day problems, the more it will cost you for their service.
It’s where a business like mine helps to bridge the gap. I work closely with trusted accountants to provide accurate financial data for year ends and any required documentation that can aid clients.
2. Another common misconception is that your accountant knows your software.
There has been an explosion in cloud-based accounting software in the last ten years. Most accountants don’t use any accounting software, so they are not aware of how to troubleshoot problems you might encounter.
My company works with the same accounting software that most businesses use. It means I also know how to do those tricky entries or help you figure out what went wrong and how to correct it.
3. Why would I pay anyone to help me when it must be easy to figure out?
Well, that is not entirely true. Everything in life can be easy to figure out if that is where your interest lies or you have a mentor. I tried building a WordPress webpage using YouTube, as I was pretty sure it would be easy. Forty hours later, and after much frustration, I had a product but was not happy with the outcome. Sure it looked okay, but it was basic without the bells and whistles.
This same concept comes into play with accounting software. Even if you have a strong understanding of accounting basics, each software is very different. Therefore, you will save time, money, and frustration if you pay an experienced professional to help you.
4. How do I know your skillset and that your services will be up to par?
My large client base and close working relationships with accountants speak volumes about my knowledge and credibility. Most of my clients are referrals from these two sources, along with software companies, and I have developed a reputation as a person who gets things done.
5. Are you sure that accountants are okay with me getting your assistance?
Yes, I’m sure. Accountants love it when they have educated clients who supply them with accurate bookkeeping, have all their ducks in a row, and send in a clean set of books. Accountants are like the rest of us, and they would rather spend less time dealing with a messy workday and more time getting the job done and moving on to their next client.
6. Why did you choose to become an accounting software trainer?
Technically I can carry out bookkeeping with the best of the bookkeepers. However, Bookkeeping eight hours a day, five days a week, is not how I want to spend my working life. Once I discovered a need for someone with my knowledge and skillset who could fill the gap between the business and their accountant, I found my passion.
Many business owners or employees want to be involved, and sometimes they just need a resource person whom they can ask questions and get advice. This is where I come in, as I not only train the corporate world as required with the software, but they also get a well-rounded explanation that they can understand.
