SOS Inventory - The Course

SOS Inventory is a robust inventory software that integrates with QuickBooks Online™.   It is extremely  robust and can help a business manage their inventory needs.  The modules I will be covering include:

1. Setting up your SOS Inventory file                                                                                            

● What's required for the initial import sheets.
● Syncing with QuickBooks Online™
● Set up and configuration of purchasing / Inventory / Sales
● The import Sheets - how to export / import them

Learning Outcome: Understanding the first steps when setting up your SOS data file and the importance of correct information
Time: 6 hrs

2. Inventory Items

● Input variables, making adjustments, filtering, archiving, cost basis
● Categories, Locations & bins
● Warranties & serial #'s
● The import sheets - what information is required
● Transfers from one location to another or from one bin to another
● Kits, Cost of Goods Sold, negative inventory

Learning Outcome: Learn how to break down the components into smaller units as needed for manufacturing. You will also learn how to
factor in hidden costs such as labor and overhead to come up with the true cost of manufactured inventory.

7. Ecommerce, Other Automation Apps, Trouble Shooting and Workflows

● Look at how e-commerce and other automation apps interact with SOS Inventory
● Importance of dates and following the correct workflows
● Common mistakes people make and why you need to avoid them
Learning Outcome: Find out how e-commerce and other automation apps interat within SOS inventory / QuickBooks Online™. You will also
learn the critical mistakes to avoid, as they can create a real mess within SOS Inventory
Time: 4 hrs

8. Tying the Learning Topics Together Within Your SOS Data File
● Turning off inventory tracking in QuickBooks Online™
● Syncing the SOS Inventory and QuickBooks Online™

As we work our way through the Learning Topics, we are actually building the SOS data file. Each Learning Topic will involve a lot of “after
hours work to prep the data, dissect through your inventory, is the critical pieces of data that is required. With the knowledge obtained in
Learning Topics 1 through 7, each student is building up all of the requirements needed to create a valid SOS Inventory file.
Learning Topic 8 is will go through the actual daily transactions with a now live connection between the two softwares.
Learning Outcome: Each student will be able to do the transactions and ensure that all are responding as expected, if not why?
This Leaning Topic will be student led and will provide a “mini-project” so that the student can tie in all of the knowledge learned with real life
transactions. There will be opportunity for questions, answers and achieving a high level of confidence.
Time: 8 hrs

Total Instructor Led Course Time: 36 hours
Additional student time is highly recommended (especially during learning sections 1 & 2, which set up your base), to get the best outcome at the end of the course.

To get the best results, each course will involve only one business, so all students
have the same criteria and inventory / manufacturing details to delve into.

Pricing - One student - $8,995 + GST
Two students from the same business - $6,250 + GST per Student
Three students from the same business - $5,250 + GST per Student

 Capacity is no more than 3 students.  Typically these courses are for one individual only, the exception is  when 2 or 3 students from the same business take the course together .   This allows for a 100% focus on what the business requirements are and also address the roles each student has within the business and how these roles interact with each other. This course will occur  over a 14 week period.  Timing & dates of course are co-ordinated with the students. The training is either onsite or virtual with screen sharing.  Each person's knowledge about what they have  learned will be determined by doing hands-on exercises during the course.  Each student  will have ample  time during each module to ask questions and then be hands on with their own SOS Inventory data file. At the end of the course, the student(s) will have a functioning SOS Inventory data file. They will have a full understanding of the full dynamics that take place with inventory - whether just inventory or within a manufacturing environment

A Certificate of Completion will be Issued at the end of the course to each student who  has proven they have understood and retained the skills.
